The importance of compound movements

Going to the gym in any fashion will prove challenging, especially sticking to it continuously.

Being in the gym as a beginner might seem quite daunting and for that reason its important to be familiar with basic movements and exercises that will help you gain enough strength to move on with your gym goals.

What are compound movements?

Compound movements are a set of exercises that use multiple muscle groups. Examples of such exercises include deadlifts, pull-ups, squats, pushups, bench press, shoulder press and a couple others.

Why are these movements so important?

These movements are important for a beginner in the gym to have completed and mastered before moving on to more specific exercises.
